Receiving Money from Western Union, IBK Icheon
This is unplanned but I went to downtown today after seeing that I was already paid and my money is ready for pick-up in Western Union. I took the bus #28-1 from Shinha-ri because it stopped right in front of the Icheon bus terminal where IBK (Industrial Bank of Korea) have moved. I just crossed the street and went inside the bank, their new location is bigger and wider than their old location which is quite smaller. There are also lot of windows/teller now compare than before. Anyway I get a number and in just seconds my number was already called, I informed the teller what I need “Western Union” she immediately thought I am going to send but I told her “claim/pick-up” showing her a piece of paper, my passport and ARC.
The teller asked me Google upon seeing the piece of paper? I was given a form to fill-up and in just few minutes I got my money from Mr. G (Google). This is my second time to received compensation from displaying ads on my blogs. The first time was two year ago, haha! Well it is better than nothing, isn’t it?
Anyway after I claimed my money I walked to the bus stop just across the back of bus terminal and as a treat to myself I went inside the Asian store to buy some sardines (again), corn snack, corn bits or whatever you may call it. When I first received my compensation from Mr. G, I have boughts dumplings from Mandu shop.
EyesMobile Prepaid Card
The other day I went to downtown to do overseas transfer from my husband Korean account to his account in Canada. I can’t do anymore excuses not to do it because I have done it once, the bank was not full so I took the chance to get new bank book as his bank book was already finished. I am able to get one but of course not able to sign the bank book as my husband’s owns it. Transferring money overseas is easy I can do it in the ATM machine in just few clicks. After transferring money overseas I went to the family owned supermarket to buy frozen chicken breast and headed directly to bus stop, I went to Asian store just beside it and bought some Filipino treats on my husband’s permission, I already asked him before going to downtown to let me spend ₩10,000 of goodies in-exchange of not buying groceries (for me) on shopping day.
I only bought few sardines, water turnips and pancit bihon. I also look for prepaid card and I was glad to find EyesMobile prepaid card because it only means I don’t need to go to Itaewon just to buy a load. I bought one prepaid card for ₩10,000 despite the fact that I don’t know how to use it, I just thought I’ll figure it out when I already need to use it. The EyesMobile prepaid card can only be used in Korea, US, Japan, China, Russia, Mongolia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
Honestly, I would like to buy a card that I can use to call Philippines but I can’t find a TNT prepaid card, and I am not sure if I can use the other cards in Korea so I just stick to Eyes Mobile because the sim card that was given to me when I bought a phone is also EyesMobile plus my friend had told me that when I buy a load I should tell that my card is EyesMobile because there are different type of load/card.

Fried Zucchini with Scrambled Eggs
When I shopped a week ago for my weekly supplies I just bought a package of chicken and few potatoes. I adobo the chicken I thought it will take me a week to consume all of it, well maybe yes but my husband help himself to my pot of adobo so I was left without food to eat in few days aside from eggs. Being bored for eating eggs everyday I tried different way of cooking from frying, boiling and scrambled eggs.
I would like to cook sauteed bitter melon with egg but there’s no bitter melon in our fridge so instead I used zucchini it was left over from the vegetable soup I have cooked few days ago.
Doggie Diarrhea – How to Safely Treat Your Dog’s Diarrhea at Home
Imagine this: sparkling red carpet premiere of a promising family movie starring everyone’s favorite actors of the present. A well-groomed, shiny coated canine who is the real star of the movie, such as the golden lab who played Marley in ‘Marley and Me’, or Richard Gere’s co-star in ‘Hachiko: A Dog’s Story’. Now, imagine if they had a little ‘accident’. Imagine if they weren’t in the best of health…
If you have ever slipped – yes, slipped – in dog poo, you will know that it certainly is not pleasant and you feel like hunting down the dog owner and banning them from your local area until their dog’s bowel movements are back to normal and their ‘business’ can be scooped and bagged as normal. I know if my pug ever got diarrhea again, I would ask some unsuspecting friend to take little Mathilde on a walk to save myself the embarrassment whilst I rush to the vets to book an appointment. Last time, it was the result of too many treats surreptitiously given to her under the table by my friends at Christmas (it’s not just humans that get fat in the winter season). Ultimately, neither Mathilde nor I were very happy.
Of course, it isn’t the end of the world. Canikur tablets are very effective as an anti-diarrhea treatment, which are palatable and chewable. Containing probiotics, prebiotics and a special binding agent, they work together to support intestinal function ensuring your dog’s body fluid balance is normalized. In the case of an emergency, however, Pro-Kolin+ may be a better choice as it is designed to settle diarrhea quickly and safely. Plus, it is beef flavored so my pug, like many other pooches I’m sure, would easily eat it.
For a long term aid, Hill’s Prescription Diet I/D is for dogs suffering with gastrointestinal disorders that can be painful and prolonged if left unattended. Dog lovers want the best for their canine companions so address the ugly stuff is just as important as cuddling. I/D encourages symptom reduction of vomiting, flatulence, constipation and diarrhea, all of which would be the biggest embarrassment on that spotless red carpet…
Christmas Lights in our Neighborhood
When we we out for the gym tonight I was surprised to see Christmas decorations adorned in trees in our neighborhood. In our old neighborhood we can’t really feel it is Christmas because there’s no decorations like this, we will just be reminded that Christmas is coming when we happened to walk in the shopping street where few stores has Christmas ornaments other than that, it was just a normal day or celebration.
Well, we can’t really feel Christmas in Korea because every Christmas we are out of the country but not this year I guess. This year was our last Christmas in Korea as we are leaving in a few months time. 🙁
Eye Clinic in Shinha-ri
Life became so busy for me these past few days, I have client to attend, writers to wait and bloggers to follow-up and when I am finally free from stress I felt so tired and exhausted. I had a terrible headache that cause me to vomit what’s in my stomach, looking at my laptop causes eye strain and add more pain to my head.
When I can’t take it anymore I went to eye clinic near us, I took the single chance that the optometrist maybe can speak English but I am not lucky he can’t speak and understand English, same as me I can’t speak Hangul nor understand. Oh well thanks to Google Translate installed on my phone and everything went well, honestly before I came in I have already translated “eye test, eye check-up” in my phone so when I have asked if he can speak English I just handed my phone and he guided me to the machine to check how bad my eye problem is.
I was told that I have many visions which mean my eye problem was not that severe but I really wanted to have an eye glasses when I am using my laptop so I have told him about it, we tried different lenses while reading the ABC’s. Every time he changed the lenses on the eye glass that he asked me to wear, he will ask me “Bright?” well I think he speaks little English ah.
Anyway to cut the story short, we choose the frame that will look good to my face. The optometrist was very helpful when I asked him if it looks good or not, I choose an eye glass with square frame, light and scratch free. I pay 100,00o won for the lenses and frame, discount is included.

Plus, you’ll get to practice a lot of balance trying to stay out of the water.

Neutrogena Body Moisturizer
The number of lotions and body creams in the market is enormous and it is hard to know which one is good or not. I have been using Nivea lotions for years already since I moved in Korea but recently I have been reading good reviews about Neutrogena and Cetaphil Products, I would like to try any of of the two but I have found out that they are a bit expensive for my budget.
With this, I decided to look online because most items are cheaper in Gmarket then buying them in local stores. Neutrogena body moisturizer was on sale from one seller so I ordered immediately using the coupons I found under member’s benefits. It was a good deal, I can only buy one Neutrogena moisturizer in the local supermarket at this price but online it was for 2 items.

How an E-Collar Makes Dog Training Easier
Training a dog can be a difficult and arduous process. Dogs are wonderful pets that are affectionate and fun-loving, but they also like to test boundaries to see what behaviors are acceptable and what behaviors are unacceptable. In order to properly train a dog to understand what behaviors are unwanted, immediate correction is necessary. This is difficult to accomplish, as sometimes a behavior occurs unexpectedly or out of reach. Using an e collar can help alleviate this problem, and e-collar training for dogs has been proven to be a very effective training method for correcting negative behaviors while reinforcing positive ones.
How Electronic Collars Work
The collars work by utilizing three basic components: a remote transmitter, collar probes and a collar receiver. The transmitter sends a signal to the collar’s receiver, which in turn directs an electrical impulse through the collar’s probes to the dog’s skin. The dog senses this electrical stimulus, and immediately ceases engaging in the unwanted behavior. The collars are adjustable, so the amount of impulse the dog receives can be dictated by the trainer. Most trainers use the lowest setting, as they have found that even a minimal impulse will result in the desired effect.
Why Training Collars Make Training Easier
Because training collars allow for immediate correction to be made, they are among the most efficient training tools available. They must be used properly, and if an individual has never before used one, it may be best to conduct thorough research or to consult a professional before trying to use one of these collars. If a dog has already mastered some very basic commands, it is probably ready to be introduced to the electronic collar. The collar should be worn by the dog several times before any training begins, and when it does, sessions should remain very brief, no longer than 15 minutes. Dogs seem to respond better to this repetitive style of training. Once training has begun, the collar can be used to reinforce positive behaviors, and also to correct negative and undesirable behaviors.
Are These Collars Humane?
One of the most common concerns about the electronic collar is the debate as to whether it is humane to use on dogs. The simple fact is that the collar is not harmful or painful to the dogs who wear them. The stimulus that is delivered through the collar is very similar to the shock felt from static electricity: Uncomfortable, but not painful or harmful. In fact, most dogs enjoy wearing their collars, because they associate the collar with training, and successful training results in rewards and positive reinforcement. In short, there should be no concern with regard to the use of these collars.
Electronic collars are incredibly useful and effective. When used appropriately, they can result in quick and easy training sessions that help dogs understand how to behave correctly. With the ability to instantly correct unwanted behavior without causing the dog any pain, it is no surprise that this is a popular training tool among professional dog trainers. This simple and effective training method is a smart choice for any dog owner who desires to have a well-behaved and obedient dog.
