Happiness is Choosing You

Happiness is when you don’t envy others, when jealousy and hatred no longer have a place in your heart. It is contentment, not a race or competition. True happiness comes when you learn to love yourself fully, to embrace your uniqueness without feeling the need to imitate others.

Happiness is seeing the bright side of life, recognizing the good even in difficult moments, and offering genuine praise and credit where it is deserved. It is the humility to admit that you, too, have flaws, and the courage to face your own toxicity. Happiness grows when you acknowledge your mistakes, take responsibility for them, and commit to becoming a better version of yourself.

Happiness is forgiving yourself and others, letting go of grudges, and choosing peace over conflict. It is finding joy in life’s simplest moments, celebrating small victories, and being grateful for what you have. Ultimately, happiness is not found in perfection but in progress, in love, and in the freedom to be authentically you.

The Timeless Elegance of Navy Blue: The Perfect Mother of the Bride/Groom Dress Color

When it comes to choosing the perfect mother of the bride groom dresses for your child’s wedding, few colors stand the test of time like navy blue. This versatile shade has become the go-to choice for many mothers of the bride and groom. If you’re wondering why navy blue is so beloved, you’re in the right place! Let’s explore why navy blue is the ideal option for mothers who want to look elegant, flattering, and forever chic.

Why Navy Blue?

Navy blue is more than just a color—it’s a statement. Here’s why it’s the number one choice for wedding guests, especially for those in the important role of mother of the bride or groom:

  • Classy and Timeless

Navy blue is often seen as a symbol of sophistication and elegance. It doesn’t fade with trends and remains just as stylish year after year. Whether the wedding is in the summer, fall, or winter, navy blue always feels appropriate.

  • Flattering and Slimming

One of the most flattering qualities of navy blue is its ability to slim and elongate the body. Unlike lighter colors that can sometimes highlight problem areas, navy blue has a rich depth that creates a sleek silhouette, making it a top choice for women of all body types.

  • Versatile and Easy to Style

Navy blue pairs beautifully with a wide range of accessories, from silver jewelry to pearls, and can complement almost any other color in the wedding party’s palette. Whether paired with soft pastels or bold jewel tones, navy blue remains neutral and flexible, allowing for lots of styling options.

  • Suitable for All Seasons

While some colors might feel more suitable for specific seasons, navy blue transcends seasonal boundaries. It can be worn in the warmer months with lighter fabrics, or in the cooler months with heavier, more structured materials like velvet or satin.

A Popular Choice for Wedding Guests

If you’ve been to a wedding recently, there’s a good chance you’ve seen a mother of the bride or groom in navy blue. The color is currently trending because it works so well for these roles. It’s a perfect balance of elegance and approachability, ensuring the mother of the bride or groom looks stylish without overshadowing the bride.

How to Style Navy Blue for the Wedding Day

Navy blue ball gown prom dresses come in various styles, from casual to formal, and from modern to traditional. Here are a few styling tips for rocking navy blue as the mother of the bride or groom:

  • Choose the Right Silhouette

Navy blue looks great in all types of silhouettes, from sleek and slim-fitting sheaths to more voluminous A-line designs. Consider your body shape when selecting a dress style:

  1. A-line dresses are flattering for most body types, creating a smooth, feminine shape.
  2. Sheath dresses are perfect for those who want a more tailored, slimming look.
  3. Floor-length gowns can give a regal vibe for formal weddings, while knee-length dresses offer a chic, youthful appearance.
  • Pair with Statement Jewelry

Navy blue is the perfect canvas for statement jewelry. Gold or silver accents can elevate the outfit, and pieces like dangling earrings or a bold necklace can add that extra sparkle for the evening celebration.

  • Complement with the Right Shoes

Navy blue pairs beautifully with neutral tones like metallics (gold or silver), beige, or even a bold pop of red. For evening weddings, consider strappy heels or elegant flats if comfort is a priority.

  • Add a Pop of Color

While navy blue is stunning on its own, don’t hesitate to play with accessories. You could add a colorful shawl, a bold handbag, or vibrant shoes to add a personal touch and inject some personality into your look.

Light Fabrics for Day Weddings, Luxe Fabrics for Night

For a daytime wedding, choose light fabrics like chiffon or silk that feel airy and fresh. For an evening event, heavier fabrics like velvet or satin work wonderfully, adding a touch of luxury and making the outfit feel more formal.

“The Curse of Four: A Decade of Loss and Struggle”

It has been a long time since my last update. A lot of things have happened within a short period of time. My father died in July, and my grandmother died in October. What else? I am still financially struggling because of my wrong decisions and unforeseen circumstances. The more I think about it, the more I realize I have bad luck with years that have four (4) in them.

On the year 1994, I was too young to remember, but it was during this time when my older cousin died at 24. It was 2004 when I almost stopped studying in college after an accident happened, my father lost his job, and we didn’t have money to pay my tuition. It was 2014 when I went home to Philippines and things didn’t turn out so well, leaving me in despair and in sadness f0r so many years and today 2024 my father died without a hint or a sign, I was in debt and my grandmother died after just three months.

Some might say they were just coincidences, but I know it wasn’t.  I want to write more, but it makes me sad to remember things, maybe some other time.
