Egg Whites with Beef and Spaghetti Sauce
This is just one of my husband weird treats. He don’t usually eat egg yolks so most of the time when I prepare food for him just the egg whites which are good source of protein. To make his food appetizing he combined the beef and top it with spaghetti sauce with pimento and add some black pepper.
Vegetable Soup
Yesterday was the end of our juice fasting and starting today we are going to introduce food into our stomach, fruits and vegetable soup.
So when my husband and I shopped at Lotte Super tonight, we bought our weekly supplies fruits, vegetables and few other items that we need to make soup, when we arrived home we started to make soup. Yes we cooked together and here’s our simple vegetable soup.
Our ingredients are carrots, corn, zucchini, bakchoi, onions, garlic and vegetable soup powder, and water. We sauteed the onion and garlic in olive oil then we add the vegetables and mixed them together. Afterwards we add water and the vegetable soup powder. When the carrots are soft enough I dropped the bakchoi and let it boil until it was cooked.
You know when you don’t eat food for a long time it makes you very hungry, so I had four bowls of soup. It was so yummy that it does not last long, we made soup for tomorrow morning but sad to say nothing is left. Lol!
Fried Pork with Kimchi
There are times I am already bored of eating just fried pork and when those time strikes the experimental being on me strikes too. This is just one of my special recipe (lol) I fried the pork and when it is already a little brown I dropped chopped Kimch with its sauce., I mixed the kimchi with the pork and continue to fry them.
So here’s the result a yummy salty pork from Kimchi Sauce. Best serve with bowl of rice.
Nappa Chicken Rolls
Well like me, my husband also sometimes experiment on his food like this one, dunno what should I call this. I just called it Nappa Chicken Rolls, because it composed of nappa cabbage, chicken breast, rice and chilli sauce. To prepare very easy just drop cooked (fried or boiled) chicken and rice top with chilli sauce in nappa leaves, roll it and ready to it.
My Own Version of Afritada
This is my own version of Afritada, if you have read my blog about the green peas that I bought for 5,000 won instead of 3,000 won this is how I cooked it. As tomato ketchup is not present on our kitchen I just used fresh tomatoes we still have three pieces of tomatoes in the fridge that time.
Anyway this are my ingredients:
- Meat (Pork), Potatoes, Green Peas, Tomatoes, Vineger, Salt, Water, Pepper, Onions and Garlic
My Procedure:
- I first boiled the pork in cup of water and vinegar then I removed the pork from the soup
- In a clean pan/skillet I saute onion and garlic, when it is brown I added the sliced tomatoes
- Afterwards when the tomatoes are partially cooked I added the pork, mixed it and cooked it for few minutes
- Then I add the soup where I boiled the pork, I simmer for few minutes and I added more water
- To taste I added salt and pepper
- When it is starting to boil I add the green peas and lastly the potato and let it cooked until its ready
Well that’s how I cooked my own version of Afritada though it looks like Mechado because of the green peas, haha. It is so yummy and I am craving for this food now. You should try to experiment in your food, on the available ingredients you have in your kitchen. You maybe never know what does it taste like unless you cook it.
GS25 Instant Meal
Mini-store here in Korea are enormous, 24 hours store exactly like Seven/Eleven. In every corner you can find them you are not going to be lost because they are well lighted. So when you are hungry in the middle of the night all you need to do is run the nearest GS25, Family Mart, Seven/Eleven and so on., they cost $2-3 per instant meal it depends in the food.
This is one of my late meal from GS25 bulgogi, quail eggs, fish cake, kimchi and rice. Just heat in the microwave over and ready to eat.
Ground Pork cooked in Barbecue Sauce with Eggs
This is another version of the food I have blogged few days ago the ground pork with barbecue sauce, the difference is this food has eggs, dunno what should I call this. Torta maybe, I have two bags of ground pork that time and I cooked it on the same time as it is going to expire soon and in order not to feel tired eating ground pork I cooked it in different presentation.
This is also ground pork cooked with barbecue sauce and onions plus egg.
Ground Pork with Barbecue Sauce
When I am hooked up in front of my computer laziness to cook strikes, so most of the time I will just notice a certain food in our fridge is going to expire soon, in that case I am going to stop and be busy cooking those food before there expiration or else I will received a non-stop scold from my husband for wasting money, his money. Lol!
Anyway my menu to post for today is just ground pork, fried with barbecue sauce and onion, I have no more time to think a good recipe for the ground meat so I just dropped it in the skillet and voila! Ulam na!
