If there is one food I’ve missed in the Philippines that is hawot or tuyo (salted and dried fish), it is good to serve during breakfast with fried egg or sometimes just hot coffee and rice is solve. So when I saw this dried fish in the store I bought a small pack, its different from Philippine tuyo. It is darn too hard to chew and it is not salty either.
Pookie bear don’t like the smell of our apartment every time I cooked it. Anyway I just fried few times and it is already forgotten then pookie bear just found out it is already moldy well instead of scolding or telling me that I waste that food he is thankful because he won’t smell it anymore. That’s also the reason why I didn’t fried or touch it, the smell someone here has a special nose. Lol!

Remember my last post for camera critters? The two cats in our window, sad to say only one is left, the one at the right was victim of hit and run. I have asked my sister about their names but the forgotten me ,only remember one name which is Jumong, the cat at the left.
I was not able to participate last week so here’s my share of camera critters for today, this photo was taken in Golden Temple we went upstairs to the shrine where the giant golden Buddha was located, as I am looking for something inside my bag this monkey run so fast near me, at first I am scared but I remember I have this small white toblerone I gave him a little piece and since then he won’t stop following me. As usual my husband was annoyed on what I did, well I suffered the consequences because the monkey became my stalker he keep following me I am little bit afraid because I don’t know if they are domestic or wild, just so lucky that a group old locals came and shoo it away. They’re the one who’s praying when we arrived in the shrine. Well if you think I learned my lesson after it, I did not.

As I am blog hopping tonight I stumble at Surviving Korea’s post about having no kimchi on their house. Speaking of kimchi I almost forgot the 2.334 kg of kimchi setting in our kitchen, I removed it from the fridge because I am planning to cut it when it is already warmed but it slipped out of my mind. Just a good thing I have remember it when I do blog hopping because if not I am going to be on rushed tomorrow preparing Pookie bear’s meal.
This is what I hate in buying a whole kimchi, I have to cut it. I look like someone working in a slaughter house the only difference I am not chopping meat but kimchi. I already learned my lesson when cutting it without letting it warm because it is too damn cold into my tiny hands that I keep washing my hand with hot water
If you are interested to know what happened with my Crab Kimchi Pookie bear decided to throw it because I can’t eat anymore after I can’t stop myself scratching. Darn it is easy for him to throw something because its not his money (huhuhu).

I have nothing to say, so wordless weekend. I woke up at 2:36 in the afternoon in shocked. Shocked because never thought it is already late in the afternoon, everyone had already eaten their breakfast or lunch and me just wake up from a deep sleep. Instead of going to kitchen and grab a cup of coffee to drink I immediately grab my laptop below my bed and turn it on. What the heck is happening to me? Is there any food for breakfast on my screen? I have heard my husband, don’t forget your sandwich, Oh yeah jezz my left over sandwich from last night which I just left on the microwave oven. I just nodded my head and continue to explore the web, open my trusted PTC..darn internet is too slow. Open a new tab and read an online news paper, Oh today is the most awaited fight of Manny Pacquio ..opps he already won according to Yahoo Philippines. Nothing to read all I can read is killing, hold-up, drugs and etc., Hmmp..let’s try entertainment..Yes this is what I want blind items. Lol! Guess and guess dunno who it was. Lol!
Click and click while reading, hmmp as what I have expected the Pinoyparazzi didn’t update their site again, they just update it once a week not like before thrice a week. Let’s look at Pep, not so interesting. Open another click sites again and again, my stomach is rumbling I guess its time to eat. Boil some water from the electric kettle and pour the instant coffee in the cup, thinking if I need milk. Well let’s dropped a little, where’s my sandwich? As what I expected have to look for it in the fridge, that’s why food spoil you just left it anywhere pookie bear says. Okay granted, now what have to heat my half sandwich, hey I said 30 seconds not 3 minutes…grrr..my mind is still asleep. Well at last I can sip my coffee with mocha, sit in the floor, while the mouth is busy munching crops err I mean sandwich, Hmmp it is not a sandwich it is a burger. Jezz, my cup is all empty, now what? Are you going to eat this sausage here? Nope sweetie, no more coffee eh, my sandwich is enough..I said burger!

I feel wordless today, I had nothing to blog and to say. It’s very rare for me to eat beef, unless we ate outside. As what I have told on my previous blog the other week, we bought a lot of meat rather than usual and it includes this beef. I marinated it on a lime and soy sauce with onions and just fried it without oil. It tasted good because it feed my hunger in the middle of the night where everyone is sleeping.
What do your prefer with your steak, medium rare or well done?

I am feeling a little bit fine today except having an itchy nose. Anyway yesterday I have to go out to buy onions, banana and milk. I also dropped by to the nearest post office to ask for the postal rate, quite entertaining because the lady can only understand a little English and I have to act or draw in the air before she can get it.
Anyway going home I stop on some food stall along the way, where I always see kids eating. I am always fascinated on what they’re eating that I want to try it myself, as exploration.
This is what I got fish cake, they’re usually in a stick. This is a very popular street food in Korea especially on winter. If you see a lot of Koreans group in a tent you already know what they’re eating, fish cake with a hot soup.
Fish cakes are easily found in many Korean markets or supermarket I have try this before but I fried it I thought it is cook like fish ball or squid ball. Lol! The first time I ate fish cake in stick is in Busan while waiting for the bus.

As what I have said kimchi has different varieties, cabbage , radish and now what we have is crab kimchi. I just buy this tonight, its a little expensive for 244g is W5,560 the cabbage is more cheaper as well as the radish. This crabs are raw, crab kimchi is famous around the world as side dish. The delicious raw korean crab kimchi is a popular taste of the korean cusine. Traditionally raw korean crab kimchi is always prepared by stir fry. It is recommended for those who prefer salty flavors.
I love this one too, I am eating it while in the street walking home, its a little bit spicy but yummy. It also has a strong smell because it is a fermented raw crab.

Such a busy Monday for me today, I have a lot of chores to do. An hour after I wake up I have to work in the kitchen wash the dirty dishes my hubby just left and cook the ground beef in the fridge. If you are interested to know last Saturday when went shopping we bought a lot of meat than the normal days. We had pork and a piece of beef. You know why its SALE, the beef is 50% less. Just an information when both of us go shopping expect it on a rush, my husband don’t like me looking around. After he got all he want he will roll the cart to the counter that’s why there are times we argue because I or we forgot something and I need to return and buy (lazy me).
So after a day we just found out the meat will expired on November 2, I laughed knowing that we forgot to look on the date we just grab upon seeing its on sale. So he asked what meat I could cook and eat before the expiry date because he will keep the others in the freezer. Well I am the only one who ate meat so don’t expect me to eat all of it.
Anyway here’s what I cooked, I made pork torta. I just mixed pork, eggs, potato and put some spices like black pepper, salt and garlic. The 3/4 of the beef I just cook it in vinegar and soy sauce (lol) I am looking for a tomato sauce or ketchup in the fridge to cook giniling but it seems out of stock. So I don’t know how my ground pork adobo taste, my torta taste good but kind of salty. When I added more salt I dropped a lot of it because the lid with tiny holes is not working when I removed it and drop some, a big amount splashed on my mixture. Just too lucky that I did it after I cook few.
After cooking lampaso time! Then blogging and now I have to eat my breakfast I think the rice is already cooked.
