True Worship Offer to God

This Sunday is different from previous Sundays I have attend the church service because it is exchange pulpit Sunday and  different Pastor (R) was in-charged to speak in front of the congregation. The church service didn’t start early because we’ve waited until the choir was done practicing their number in the parsonage.

Worship

Anyway, the Pastor who preached in front of us is from another church in town and the scriptural topic he tackled is True Worship Offer to God and scripture reading can be found in Genesis 22: 1-10 when Abraham worship God through offering Isaac.  The new pastor shared that true worship is a systematic way of obedience, a rendition of service, act of sacrifice and a sign of celebration. We are told too that everyday is a worship day and it isn’t only Sunday because when we are doing good things to others we are worshiping God so which means service isn’t only mean temple worship and it doesn’t only mean singing. Attitude matters, singing is just an ingredient of worship the most important thing is the word of God.

Pastor R says too that when something is done repetitively, it means importance so when someone repetitively asked how are you doing or if you are doing alright, it means you are very important to them.

The Art of Letting Go: Toy Cars

Toy collecting is a hobby for some people; they collect toys in different kinds and sizes. My mother loves collecting toy cars since we are little; I have thought maybe it was one way to relieve her frustration for not having a son since my sister and I are both girls.

Toy Cars

Today, my cousin’s toddler son went to our house looking for an ice candy and his eyes wander in part of my mother car collection being displayed in the shelf, he asked a lot of question like why we have those toys and he also have toy cars and etc.  When the little cousin left my mother immediately went to the pantry room where we also keep our old things since there isn’t food to stock and keep, she brought a red plastic bag outside containing the toy cars I have removed from the shelf a year ago since they were just collecting dust.  I have been telling her to dispose those toy cars and give them away to little kids but she doesn’t like the idea since she purchased those toy cars herself and it’s her collection.

Well, although I know what’s on my mother’s mind I have still asked her why she’s taking out those toys and like what I have expected she is giving them away to my little cousin. Finally, she is able to let go of her toy cars although not all of them.

Escaping the Living World by Playing Zombie Tsunami

Playing online games is very entertaining that’s why there are some people who were addicted in it. It is one way to escape reality and live for a moment without a worry, to build a life which is different from the real world.

Well, I have stopped playing games online a long time ago when I realized how time consuming it was, instead of working and finding opportunities online I spend my time for something useless.  But recently, I found myself playing online games again.  It started when I have nothing else to do since the internet connection isn’t good, I borrowed my sister’s phone (originally my phone which I handed down to her since the wifi radio button is already broken), she installed games to this phone to make it useful by downloading apk online through her laptop and then installing it to the phone. I started playing Zombie Tsunami on her phone, at first I don’t know much about the game, all I knew I hate the zombies because they are keep dying and it is hard to manipulate them. Then one day, my sister informed me that I can install any android games into my laptop by using an app that can emulate an android system, it turns out she already had one so I asked for the installer and installed it on my laptop and with her help I have find out how to play Zombie Tsunami, it turns out it has to be played with a mission and it isn’t just a game where you have to run, eat people and avoid obstacles.

Zombie Tsunami

Since then, I played Zombie Tsunami and able to achieve several trophy’s in the game but after a while my family, told me to stop playing it because I am becoming a zombie too, my eyes are dropping and the black circle in my eyes are getting bigger than usual. Honestly, I am not too addicted with the game, I just found it very entertaining because by playing I forget my worries and I have no time to think over something.  It consumes my time and it gives me a thing to be busy without sleeping as early as 7pm because when I am playing I can’t track the time anymore, I am not aware what time is it, I’ll just be surprised it is already evening or it is already late in the evening and I only have few hours to sleep.  Playing the game helps me to escape reality and create my own world, a world full of zombies!

Well, I’ve decided to uninstall the game when it is becoming boring and when I am running out of coins to upgrade my zombies, I reinstalled it and I started all over again and this time I tried to play wisely.

Zombie Tsunami is developed by MobiGame, a game that is fun-packed thrill-ride of destruction, excitement and tasty brains!

Seeking Christ at Christmas

It is the first Sunday of December, church service started early today since it is also the first Sunday of the month and there will be a church hopping at another town about an hour from our town. When I went to church it is half empty but later on more people came, the scriptural topic for this Sunday is about “Seeking Christ at Christmas”, and the scripture reading can be found in the book of Jeremiah 29:13 which say “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” It is definite promise from God that if we will seek Him, we will find Him. These promises can also be found in the Book of Deuteronomy 4:29“But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.” and Matthew 7:8“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Christmas Tree

On reading these verses thoroughly we might noticed that the promises are assuring but we should take note that these promises has conditions, in Jeremiah and Deuteronomy we are ask to seek heartily, with all are heart and great determination while in Matthew we are ask to seek continuously.

Well, I have blogged that I seek for God’s comfort and when I found Him, I found peace and learn to slow down, I learn to control myself, I learned to wait and I found hope that everything is possible, a heart that truly loves doesn’t give up after all.

According to our Pastor says there are two kinds of people in the world, those who seek God and those who didn’t find God. He said it is true that there are a lot of selfish people who are always busy and pretending to love the Lord but they didn’t want Him at all just like King Herod who is mentioned in the bible who wanted to find the new born Jesus. We should not let ourselves to be like a man without a name in the bible, we should be a good Christian who loves one another. Do you have an idea who’s the man without name in the bible? Feel free to comment your answer below.

A Birthday and Eating Dinner at a Relative’s House

Children’s birthday are well celebrated over here when parents are can afford to held a party. My older cousin’s G youngest daughter celebrated her 2nd birthday today and they have a celebration at home where relatives and neighbors were invited for dinner, there is a separate place for my cousin’s visitors and friends, and they’re drinking while singing at the videoke machine they’ve rented.

Well, we just ate and left. We didn’t stay any longer because nobody is left in our home; our father is at relative house, my older cousin G’s father exactly they are having their own drinking session. I have went home twice while everybody is still eating, the first one when I brought my left over food. I didn’t eat all of the food in my plate; I am saving it for rainy days I mean for tomorrow. I have thought if I ate a lot tonight it will be hard for me to digest all the food overnight, I am starting to gain weight again these past few days since I ate a lot of rice again.

Birthday Dinner

The second time when I get ice packs, my older cousin G’s wife requested for an ice pack and I volunteer to get it since my sister is still busy with her food. When I went home our cats were following me in the street especially the three little kittens we found in a garbage pit, it looks like they were already hungry. I have to pick them and brought them home before leaving the house, older cousin G’s house is just across the street.

Anyway, to cut the story short after steaming the rice in the pot I have decided to feed the kittens and I throw a chicken bone to our dog I had from the birthday party but without my knowing the smallest kitten went directly to our dog making it angry so she bit the kitten leaving me shocked by surprised.

Well, while blogging right now I can hear the visitors singing in the videoke machine and I felt like crying hearing the older love songs, I am an old soul.

Seeing a Rainbow at Sunset

Rainbows are sign of hope, sign of promise for the great future and to see things with new perspective. In the bible, in the book of Genesis a rainbow appears right after the great worldwide flood. It symbolized God’s mercy and the covenant He made with Noah (representing mankind) not to destroy the world in such a way again.

Rainbow at Sunset

Yesterday, later afternoon while I am resting I heard the kids outside excitedly shouting “rainbow, rainbow!” I wouldn’t believed at first that they are seeing rainbow because it is sunny outside but I went out to see it, there is indeed a rainbow in the sky. I immediately took photo of it but since I can’t take a good shot of the rainbow so I went in our roof top. My sister who’s clearing the rice grains that were put to dry under the sun, says it is very dark in the other side that’s why there is rainbow it was the answer to my question why there is a rainbow when it didn’t rain at all.

Within a few minutes, the sky went dark like it is going to rain so I immediately took the clothes that were hanging in the clothes wire, while doing it I saw a white dove flying in the sky.  I was mesmerized as it passed in top of my head I just keep looking at it until its gone, then I realized I forgot to take photo of the dove with a rainbow in the sky, it feels like there’s a divine presence when the dove passed by, it was such a divine blessing!

Life has no Backspace

Restlessness is already part of me; there are times I want to take my head off so my mind will stop thinking. There is just one moment in time I want to burst in tears, and cried for no apparent reason, I just want time to stop or run quickly. I want to travel ahead of my life since there is no chances to return back the time, I can’t change things nor correct mistakes that has been made. Life is over for me, been there and done that!

Life

Life is full of surprises; it isn’t simple like how some people presume it to be. There is no backspace and delete button, there is no auto correction and there is no pause button. Worst, there is no another chance to a few of us, just regrets, pain and memories to carry on our graveyard. We cannot undo things nor undo our mistakes, every cause has an effect which can not be undone.

Life isn’t always mean happiness, there are some people who are lucky and there are people who are unlucky. Life is ironic, life is unfair.  Life is full of rejection, it is full of up and downs. Life is strange!

Rain as Blessings, Broken Glass Superstition

It’s  a day full of blessings today, the sky is dark and heavy rain is dropping.  It is a blessings in the midst of drought,  the water supply these past few days became very scarce, the water stop at eight o’clock in the morning and was turn on again late in the afternoon for a few hours, which made the public furious with the people managing the water supply since they didn’t inform anybody about their decision of turning off the water.

Rainy Day

A typhoon just passed by and didn’t made a land fall according to our father since he is the one who frequently watch news program in the television, he is at home since the weekend because their work was already finished last week making my mother irritated because it is Christmas time and our father doesn’t have  a job, which we told her to stop doing it because she is not attracting good vibes or luck. Just like the other night, we are about to have dinner and while I am carrying one glass in each hand to the table, one of the glasses suddenly slip and crashed to pieces in the floor I really don’t know how it happened, my mother was very furious at me, so I told her it was just a glass and we can buy a new one unlike if it is a life we can’t buy nor change it for a new one but she keeps mumbling about it which she doesn’t really do that much if plate or bowl was the one get broken, later I realized a glass crashed in pieces is a bad omen according to superstitious beliefs. 🙁

Well, since it is been raining since early morning today, we are left with nothing to do aside from minimal chores. There’s no signal in the television because of the rain, internet speed isn’t good too. The best thing to do right now is to drink coffee and sleep, I just had my cup of coffee awhile ago and hopefully to have another cup later.

Living with a Thankful Attitude and Grateful Heart

Today, is the fourth Sunday of the month and the scriptural topic is living with a thankful attitude and grateful heart. It was said that Thanksgiving is an attitude we should have everyday, every hour, every minute and every seconds. Our Pastor told everyone to always wear a smile too, and give a smile to the people around us because with this little gesture we are able to help, touch someone’s life and lighten there burden.

Living with a Thankful Attitude and Grateful Heart

According to what Paul has said to Timothy “People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy.” – 2 Timothy 3:2

On our generation today what has said was true, we can found it around us, we forgot to be thankful and being thankful is a personal decision, it is our self-desire. We should give thanks in everything, the hurts and the trials. God knows what’s on our heart and mind too, He notices when we are thankful and ungrateful. Always remember too God’s will is always expandable or elastic.
