Snow Days Can be Dangerous
I am quite busy tweaking these past few days that I can’t visit my blogs and post an article, I am also procrastinated. I have nothing else to write maybe because I don’t usually share and talk what I am doing and etc., sort of private person huh? Lol!
It snowed a lot today it cause heavy traffic in the main street I remember a friend who wished to snow a lot I just chuckled remembering her childish wish. Heavy snow can cause a lot of problems and accidents in the street eh., Anyway I decided to rest for a while and blog I am going to tweak again tomorrow.
I have cooked a soup tonight and as usual my husband told me to separate soup for him all he wanted is the vegetable and he don’t like macaroni on it, too much carbohydrates as what he reasoned out.
Dirty Snowy Streets and Careless Drivers
After a long weekend we are back to the gym, its quite cold today maybe because it snowed last night. While walking in the street we are almost hit by a car trying to pull back, it seems the driver didn’t see us. So my husband knock to his door and tell him what he almost hit us particularly me who just happened to step forward. My husband told him to look at his side mirror before pulling back and as usual they didn’t understand each other, one is talking in English and the other one is in Hangul. It turns out the car is new and the driver is just learning on how to drive. We just walk away after my husband irk his anger.
All drivers should always check their mirror when driving, you may never know you already hit someone especially on this bad weather and dark evening.
Lovely Greeting Card from a Friend
Today we heard some scratches outside our door, it sounds weird. It’s like a kid playing and scratching then afterwards it sounds like someone is tearing something that is taped on our door, we just concluded it is our landlord especially when someone arrived and asked for something and we heard two guys talking outside but neither of the two sounds like our landlord.
So I told my husband when we went out to go the gym we are going to be surprised when our door is full of scratch, anyway it turns out it is the landlord’s friend based on the truck in front of our apartment building with an old toilet bowl. He maybe tearing something on it, oh well I have found our internet bill stuck on the small mailbox beside our door and was surprised there’s another mail with it, been waiting for this mail since we arrived from vacation. I thought it already arrived and got lost in the bigger mailbox here in the apartment.
Thank you ate Rose for the lovely card, it is so cute and well made. Ate Rose is a very kind and lovely blogger I met online, she has a good humor that will make you smile once you get to know her well. Meet the Cottrill’s by visiting Travel’s and Wandering and few more other sites that you’re going to know when you hop in now to these blogs.
This is the first greeting card I received from a blogger friend and it means a lot to me I am planning to buy a photo album and keep all the keepsakes there. Again thanks a lot ate Rose, Merry Christmas too and Happy New Year. More blessings to count and share!
Chocolates and Baked Goods from My Mother-in-Law
We maybe loss some pounds in India when we got traveler’s diarrhea but we gain more pounds when we arrived here in Korea. You know why? Well because of the sweets we have eaten for weeks, the day we arrived here we found three notices from post office stick in our door, so we immediately went to the nearby postal office but it turns out it is in the main branch. So we took a taxi to get there, the lady in the satellite office wrote the address for us, you might think we are too excited that we can’t wait tomorrow to claim the box. Actually we have to claim it because of the water filters, we need water to drink and I don’t like buying bottled water when we have filters on the box.
These chocolates are from my mother in-law, they are goodies that are sold during Halloween days. My husband asked mom to buy these chocolates for me us, because we are drooling for some sweets during those time, it was shipped through surface that’s why it took two months before it arrived to us.
Few weeks later the baked goods from my mother in-law arrived in our apartment. We are not done yet eating all the goodies and there’s another goodies for us to lure. So imagine all the calories intake or sugar we have eaten in few days. I have managed to control myself from eating the chocolates and sweets so the last part of my share was just eaten yesterday. Thanks to Mom and Dad for the sweets and thoughts!
Baked Goods Fresh from Canada
A week ago we received a box of baked goods from my mother in-law (Thanks Mom!). She personally baked them for us, they are consists of Short Bread Cookies, Peanut Butter Bars, Sweet Marie Bars, Oh Henry Bars, Mapple Cream Fudge, Magic Bars.
I enjoyed all of them they are so yummy that I don’t want to eat them so they will last forever, below is my share. I was not able to eat them when they arrived as I am sick with colds and I believed if I eat too much sweets it will trigger my sticky cough. So I just found out that the baked goods are on their extinction, my husband being guilty started to filled up my plate with bake goods so he won’t eat them all.
Eating Marathon Before Vacation
Few more days before our vacation but instead of feeling relax and excited. I feel so stressed and running out of time. I have to eat all the food here before we left, my husband keep reminding me to eat the grapes in the fridge or else it is going to be thrown in the garbage, and it means no more grapes in the future as in we are not going to buy this fruit in the future. So today even though I don’t feel like eating grapes I have to eat, the grapes doesn’t look fresh anymore but they are still sweet and juicy.
We bought this grapes on sale in Lotte Super the last time we shopped my husband asked me if I am able to eat them before they turns bad, I said yes but few days had passed the grapes are still in the fridge.
Anyway aside from eating grapes my assignment for today is to cook soup because the zucchini, cabbage and carrots in the fridge will be in bad state if we left them uncooked before our vacation. I have cooked the soup just so lucky that my husband helps me to eat it or else more food is going to spoiled. I still have one dozen of yoghurt in the fridge that needs to be eaten before our vacation, jezz I am going to gain weight that’s for sure.
Internet Connection Failure in Korea
Around two o’clock this morning our internet connection disappeared and never came back until four in the morning where we patiently waited. When we wake up this afternoon there’s still no internet connection so I have told my husband maybe its time to call his co-teacher, so we went out to call Jade and went to supermarket afterwards to buy rice.
We told Jade that we are going to call her again after thirty minutes after we’re done shopping, so we called her at the street pay phone and she said the technician will visit our apartment at two o’clock PM, we thought we still have a lot of time but it turns out we spend more than one hour looking for cheap price of rice, because it is already twenty minutes after two o’clock in the afternoon.
The technician came with a modem, I think he thought the problem is our modem but when he tested it, it works fine. So he talk to someone in the phone, it sounds like he is dialing a customer service because I can hear his call being transfer. Anyway after few minutes our internet is back, hopefully it won’t disappear again or else as what my husband says we are going to transfer another provider because this is not the first time it happens. Since last week our internet connection is on and off, and today is the second time Jade called a technician.
A Normal Busy Evening
We went to the gym tonight but it is still closed so instead of going home again I just told my husband to shop while we are out, so we did in Lotte Super.
When we reach home put the items in the fridge and cupboard then I cooked some chicken. I got burnt on my neck when the chicken pops out while I am mixing it.
Giant Christmas Tree in Icheon
Well Christmas day is already around the corner, it seems there’s more Christmas decoration this year here in our place, I’ve seen a lot of of establishment with Christmas greetings, like the department store and few clothes store.
This is the giant Christmas tree in Icheon I snap a photo while waiting for the green street light.
An Empty Street in Icheon Downtown
An empty house, a whole inside my heart. Well I think that’s enough of singing of out of tune, just one lonely night I went out to look for pizza place which I already blog previously, so today I just want to share the photo I have taken in the shopping district. On the day light this street is very busy but on very late night it is empty.
As you can see (do you?) most of the stores has no metal door, you can still see what’s inside the store through the glass walls. In Philippines I guess you cannot do this unless you have guards on duty,.
