Mandu with Kimchi

This is the mandu or dumplings we have eaten on Lunar New Year, it was fried. If you don’t know what is Mandu, they are dumplings in Korean cuisine. First brought to Korea by the Mongols, they are similar to pelmeni and pierogi in some Slavic cultures. The name is a cognate to the names of similar types of meat-filled dumplings in Central Asia, such as Turkish manti, Kazakh manty, and Uzbek manti. It is also a cognate with the Chinese mantou, although mantou is a steamed bun rather than a dumpling. – Wikipidea

Because there’s two packed of it we cooked the other packed after few days in boiling water. This mandu is made from Kimchi and Meat so it’s a bit spicy.

Why one is not enough?

Hi guys we’re just at home today but I have to wake up early to cook rice for breakfast and I think it really happens that you wake up before the alarm clock rings. After it I went back to sleep. We didn’t go to gym I don’t know why maybe because Pookie bear notice that I am already over work-out, my back is not fully recover yet.  Anyway I just feel offended a while ago, I have created a group for our family clan long time ago and invited all of them which they accepted and just tonight one of my cousin created the same group take note not just one but two and she eventually  added me to the group too. I leaved the second group and thinking to leave the another one (lol).  See how it offends me, why people don’t know one is enough. So I don’t know what will happened to the old group (sigh).

Anyway as of right now Pookie bear and I is watching a Korean horror movie with English subtitle so enjoy your evening folks!

Gimbap Rolls

When we applied for visa extension in Suwon I stay behind in the bus terminal to buy bimbap rolls from my favorite restaurant, it is made in instant what I mean if I ordered the guy will make the rolls in front of me. I admire his quick hands..

Gimbap is a popular Korean dish made from steamed white rice (bap) and various other ingredients, rolled in gim (sheets of dried laver seaweed) and served in bite-size slices. Gimbap is often eaten during picnics or outdoor events, or as a light lunch, served with danmuji or kimchi.

Sushi? Nope it’s gimbap …

Sweet nuts

I don’t know what’s the name of this bread/pastry but it tasted good. The lower part is sweet and tasted like polvoron bread with a lot of condensed milk and the upper part consist of nuts, different kinds of nuts. So I am just going to call it sweet nuts, lol.

Photo Uploads

It’s Thursday today and day for nostalgia but I can’t find anything that will make me nostalgic. So here’s my litte share photos of me and my classmate and friends. This photo was taken one and half year ago in my work place, that day it was taken I am going to Manila to work for my visa.
Just a week ago I upload this photo and it receives few comments from my high school classmates, even asking me why I just uploaded it, its already a history. Lol!

I am so big, isn’t it? That was the time I always ate burger or foot long after work  especially I  have funds for it  who’s not going to like it if it is buy one take one. Lol!And my favorite drink is a chocolate milk drink, like Chocoleit.

My back pain is a little better  but my butt and thighs are numb maybe because of those squats and lunges we did the other day. I still went to gym today but didn’t work just did a little cardio, Pookie bear want my company so he ask me to go with him.

Lower Back pain

I am injured right now, lol. We’ve been to the gym early as 4:00 in the afternoon and now I am laying in my stomach my waist or lower back is killing me, I can’t bend. I wish I can lay on my back but I can’t because right at this moment I am busy on my online activities. Huhuhu, I have feel this ache since last Tuesday but it feel worst after gym.

I did not do a lot of things  today I just cooked my all time favorite Chicken Kimchi Stew for lunch and guess what a surprised makes me jump for joy. I will tell you more about it on my travel blog after I received the evidence I mean proof. Lol, all I can say is this is what I love in flying and traveling.

Squash and Meat Sauteed

These past few days I’ve been eating a lot of squash because I have changed my usual diet, less meat and more vegetable. How I wish there’s a string beans, lady’s finger, ampalaya and preserved shrimps (bagoong) so I can cooked “pinakbet” how I missed eating fresh vegetables. They have eggplant here but it is darn hard with fully grown seeds (lol) so if ever I bought one packed it always ended in a frying fan.

Anyway I just sauteed this squash and added a small amount of soy sauce.

My ingredients:
Squash, meat, onion, garlic, oil, soy sauce, water
Procedure:
  • Saute the garlic and onion
  • Add the meat and let it fried for few minutes
  • Then add the squash, soy sauce and water
  •  Let it cooked and you can add few leafy vegetables as desired
  • Seasoned it with salt to taste
  • Serve hot.
Eating squash is beneficial to health but I don’t know if too much squash is still beneficial though.

Mini Pork Cutlet

Most of the foods here in Korea are instant or let me say processed meat but there’s also a lot of fresh meat if you like too. I just fried this packed of mini pork cutlet the other day its been almost two weeks in our fridge but I always forgot to cook it.

It looks like fishball
Yummy to dip in soy sauce
