Mandu with Kimchi
This is the mandu or dumplings we have eaten on Lunar New Year, it was fried. If you don’t know what is Mandu, they are dumplings in Korean cuisine. First brought to Korea by the Mongols, they are similar to pelmeni and pierogi in some Slavic cultures. The name is a cognate to the names of similar types of meat-filled dumplings in Central Asia, such as Turkish manti, Kazakh manty, and Uzbek manti. It is also a cognate with the Chinese mantou, although mantou is a steamed bun rather than a dumpling. – Wikipidea
Because there’s two packed of it we cooked the other packed after few days in boiling water. This mandu is made from Kimchi and Meat so it’s a bit spicy.

Why one is not enough?
Hi guys we’re just at home today but I have to wake up early to cook rice for breakfast and I think it really happens that you wake up before the alarm clock rings. After it I went back to sleep. We didn’t go to gym I don’t know why maybe because Pookie bear notice that I am already over work-out, my back is not fully recover yet. Anyway I just feel offended a while ago, I have created a group for our family clan long time ago and invited all of them which they accepted and just tonight one of my cousin created the same group take note not just one but two and she eventually added me to the group too. I leaved the second group and thinking to leave the another one (lol). See how it offends me, why people don’t know one is enough. So I don’t know what will happened to the old group (sigh).
Gimbap Rolls
When we applied for visa extension in Suwon I stay behind in the bus terminal to buy bimbap rolls from my favorite restaurant, it is made in instant what I mean if I ordered the guy will make the rolls in front of me. I admire his quick hands..
Gimbap is a popular Korean dish made from steamed white rice (bap) and various other ingredients, rolled in gim (sheets of dried laver seaweed) and served in bite-size slices. Gimbap is often eaten during picnics or outdoor events, or as a light lunch, served with danmuji or kimchi.

Squash and Meat Sauteed
These past few days I’ve been eating a lot of squash because I have changed my usual diet, less meat and more vegetable. How I wish there’s a string beans, lady’s finger, ampalaya and preserved shrimps (bagoong) so I can cooked “pinakbet” how I missed eating fresh vegetables. They have eggplant here but it is darn hard with fully grown seeds (lol) so if ever I bought one packed it always ended in a frying fan.
Anyway I just sauteed this squash and added a small amount of soy sauce.
- Saute the garlic and onion
- Add the meat and let it fried for few minutes
- Then add the squash, soy sauce and water
- Let it cooked and you can add few leafy vegetables as desired
- Seasoned it with salt to taste
- Serve hot.
