Shopping: Buying Water Filter Online

We ordered water filter last week and one week has passed it was not yet delivered. It should be delivered three days after we ordered it online, I have told my husband that something is wrong and the filter will not be delivered until he called the company but he won’t believed he just keep telling me to wait and it will be delivered in time.

The seller provide a tracking details that’s why I know something is wrong because the product was already here in our city but not yet delivered. Well today I have found that it was back to sender to that effect, not really the exact details but the city indicated in the tracking is the origin so when my husband new co-teacher called the company it turns out they cannot find our address and even the co-teacher gave the Korean address they still can’t find it on their computer which is too impossible because we received letters from post office as well as utility bills. The company says they will deliver the filter in school instead of delivering it in our house if not on Friday maybe Saturday, well hopefully someone was there to receive it or else no filter for our water pitcher.

Barbecue

Family picnic, barbecue party is very popular in Korea during spring and summer season that’s why when winter was finally over Lotte Super immediately had this barbecue corner where you can buy picnic and barbecue utensils to accessories like barbecue grill, mats, fans, ice and soft drinks box, colorful hats, slippers and etc.,

This is the first thing you will see when you enter the supermarket that’s why you wouldn’t really forget to have a barbecue party in your home.

Sweet Cherry Plate

The other day while we are shopping at Lotte Super I wandered around the house and home aisle and I found this plate cute. It only cost ₩1,000 ($0.87) so I bought it thinking I am going to eat small amount of rice if I am going to use it.

I think it is more as a kid’s tray rather than  a plate because it it is in the same shelves of the large trays. My husband just nod his head when he saw what I am holding.

Daiso in Icheon

As what I have blogged on my shopping blog Daiso is under-renovation and the last time I went there few weeks ago the renovation is done. They expanded in two floors, the first floor are all about school supplies, accessories and beauty regimes while the second floor is household stuffs like plates, glassess, pans and more.

Daiso is the largest franchise of 100-yen shops in Japan owned by Daiso Sangyo Corp. Daiso has a range of over 100,000 goods, of which over 40 percent are imported goods, many of them from China. Many of these are own-brand goods.

Freebies from Watsons

This is the freebie I received from Watsons last week, I went to the store to buy some chocolates.  I already stopped buying beauty products because I have ample supplies, if I buy new one they will just keep filing up and my husband will not be happy and I am also saving for my new laptop. My husband wouldn’t shoulder my laptop so I have no choice but to save  my little allowance so I can buy one.

The freebies consist of vanity tissue, 2 pieces original recovery serum, 2 Beyond all-in-one Recovery, rough skin remover,  and  Collage mask sheet pack.   I always love freebies and sample can’t wait for another freebie from Watsons, just too bad I cannot activate my point card because we don’t have a phone.

Slimline Dishwasher

There are times I searched online for free samples, the last time I grabbed free samples online it has a dishwashing soap on it. As we don’t have dishwasher here at home we have sent it to a friend.  Those times dishwashers were considered something of a luxury when they first came on the market that most restaurants have it but now a days most private home have it too, a dishwasher is a mechanical device for cleaning dishes and eating utensils.  Dishwasher has different models, the new one is a  slimline models that  fits with a small kitchen. They are also effective in cleaning as the standard model, it allows  you to adjust the temperature, depending on how dirty your crockery is.  Some of the highest-rated slimline dishwashers use only ten litres of water per wash and have Eco Wash and Quick Wash options to help reduce water and electricity consumption.

Range Cookers

Image Not Mine

I have been busy these past few days on cooking in our kitchen and what is expected after that stressful time I can’t face my blog and do my job in front of my computer anymore. All I want is to relax and chill, watch some TV shows online and read.

Anyway I wish we have range cooker here in our apartment I have notice our burner is being rusty maybe because of keeping the pot in the gas range while they are newly wash and water is dripping. Since I found it I am now very extra careful to dry the pot first before letting it sit in our gas range and keeping it in our kitchen cabinet.

Range cookers are far bigger than traditional cookers and they come with a larger main oven and more hob burners. They are designed to look like the olden style cooking ranges found in older styled kitchens and have numerous features. They are free-standing and come in widths between 90cm to 150 cm.

Range cookers can be electric only or the more popular dual fuel option where the hob is powered by gas and the oven by electricity. Most range cookers come with six hob burners

Snowy Friday and Buying Chocolates from Watsons

It snowed two times today I would like to go out this morning to take picture of me in the snow but cooking makes me busy. I just postponed it thinking I can have pictures later when we go to the gym, well the snow stop and before I know it our landlord started cleaning the frost in front of the apartment and in the garage. So when we went out to go to the gym the street is snow clean but the good thing is it is snowing again! Yipee, I asked my husband to take picture of me well he did but he said you can’t really see the snow, maybe because it is just starting.

Icheon, Gyeonggi-do

We first went to the bank and while waiting for him I went out and started taking snapshots around me and of course myself.

Truffles Chocolate

To make the story short it is our cheat day today, so we went to Watsons to buy some chocolates. Because he ate two of my chocolates last weekend he bought two for me and treat me another chocolate, I picked two truffles and a chocolate bar and then to the bakery to buy brown bread and have a stop in Family Mart to buy chicken and mayonnaise, all we got is the latter so went to the nearby Gs25 to buy chicken and he asked me if I want a meal as I am full from my dinner I opted on chocolate wafer. I didn’t eat my chocolates yet, thinking I can add this to my box (to send home).

Then go home and return to the market again to look for an organizer four our kitchen, we ended up buying a stackable tray.

Cheese Sticks

On the evening we had pizza and chocolates, from Pizza School and Watson. I have ordered Napoli Pizza for me and Pepperoni for my husband.

Napoli Pizza

Instead of  waiting for our pizza we went to Watsons for Sweet Treats,  when we pay in the counter the sales clerk asked me to choose one from the free items in the corner, I choose tiny sunblocks and then she added sample of BB Creams.

Shopping Online and Using The New Korean Address

Patiently waiting, paranoid and never mind. Haist I have ordered 32G USB online last Friday and it is on request until yesterday, late last night it was already on delivery and I am expecting to receive it tonight but until now nobody knocks or ring our doorbell that makes me paranoid every time I’ve heard a car/truck outside.

Dunno if the delivery man will find our new address, I guess there’s no problem if I have used our old address but since it is already 2012 I’ve decided to use the new address that was given to us by mail. We have new address because the Korean government change their address system, naming the streets and building which started on 1997 and will start effect this year, it says the new address system is  for convenience purposes where the numbering is based on street names. Oh well I think I have  to wait until tomorrow.
