My husband and I both love barbecue or grilled meat that’s why we had a electric grill at home. It is more convenient and cheaper than going to barbecue joints/restaurant. As we are leaving Korea soon I have asked my husband’s permission to send the electrical grill to my family and before depositing it on my box we decided to grill bulgogi on Lunar New Year.
We grilled meat in our balcony to avoid smoke and stench inside our apartment. I just open the window and put the electric grill in top of the washing machine.
Bulgogi is the most popular variety of Korean barbecue. Before cooking, the meat is marinated with a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and pepper. It is traditionally cooked using gridirons or perforated dome griddles that sit on braziers, but pan-cooking has become common as well. [source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_barbecue]

We had Korean street food last night, it was been a long time since we had them, way back in downtown we have street food every week but since we moved here we always have BHC chicken. Anyway I went to the nearby canteen where street foods are sold, there are already plenty of customers most of them are students buying their snacks before heading home. I waited for my turn to give my order, with the help of a tong I am able to add the food I like when the owner can’t figure out how many I wanted.
Cheese sticks are my husband’s favorite, we usually buy bags of cheese sticks in supermarket and we cooked it ourselves but when I discover that cheese sticks were also sold in the street and they taste better than the cheese sticks in the supermarket we stopped buying bags of cheese sticks and if we are craving for it we just head to the nearby canteen. I also bought 2 sticks of fried tteokboki.
Aside from cheese sticks I also bought fried sweet potato, stuffed peppers and dumplings (mandu) as it was already getting late only few are left in the tray so I took them all, my husband told me not to get over board but dunno if I did.

Pet beds are important to provide comfort to the pet where they can sleep comfortably and have fresh mood in the morning. Pets sometimes have aggressive behavior when they are not provided cozy environment. Our pets especially cats normally sleep in our bed or sofa, and sometimes they look for comfortable space to sleep.
Well, the last time, the reason why our stuff toys are everywhere down the cabinet is our cat Soju. When I am sweeping the floor I again saw the stuff toys everywhere. But to my surprise it is not Soju, but the three kittens. It was them who make the stuff toys goes down the cabinet. It is cold now here so for them to feel comfortable they slept in the stuff toys because I think it’s warmer there.
I thought I will not be surprised if those stuff toys are again not in their place, but still I am surprise not because the stuff toys are not in their place but because it’s not Soju and also not the three kittens are in the cabinet but it was Kangchi who is sleeping comfortably in the cabinet making the stuff toys her bed and pillow.

With the presence of Asian store anywhere, cooking and eating food I can only eat in the Philippines is now possible to eat overseas. I have been eating sausage and ramen noodles these past few days so I decided to saute monggo beans, I boiled the monggo beans before sauteing it.
As it was first time for my husband to see me cooking sauteed monggo, he was so in patient waiting when I am going to finished cooking. He is not concerned about the tasting the food but he is more concerned of the gas bill. Lol!
After boiling the monggo beans I saute garlic and onion and fry the pork with it. When the pork is already brown I add the monggo beans and the slop, I add more water and salt to taste. I let it boil for few minutes and I add the lettuce and let it cook for few minutes.

Clumsiness can be quite a challenge to deal with. I admit of being clumsy all the time knocking things over, spilling drinks, dropping food and tripping and stumbling over almost anything. There are times I hurt myself because of my clumsiness like the other night I accidentally had a painful split lesson. I accidentally stumble on our printers power adapter, I lose my balance and slid. I fell on my left knee while the other is stretch upfront it was like I am splitting. I hurriedly jump into the bed after accident mending my painful knee and waist sometimes I wish there’s foam sheets from Foam Factory installed in our floor so I won’t get hurt every time I stumble over.

I am expecting my husband will laugh on me but he was in shocked and probably feel bad when I roll in the bed shouting in pain. When he eventually realized what happened and I felt a little calm the teasing started, asking me for rein-enactment.

Korean New Year is the first day of the Korean lunar calendar. It is one of the most significant traditional Korean holidays. It consists of a period of celebrations, starting on New Year’s Day. The Lunar New Year celebration lasts three days.
The three day holiday is used by many to return to their hometowns to visit their parents and other relatives, where they perform an ancestral ritual called charye. It seems most of the occupants in our apartment building went home to their respective ancestral homes because it is quite empty unlike the normal days, most shopped are closed as well.

Last night my husband asked me to get him a pepperoni pizza but when I went to Pizza school they are already closing so I went to 59 Pizza which is about 5-10 minutes away but the latter was already closed. It seems both pizza place closed early because of the Lunar New Year which is celebrated in Korea.
Going home I passed by the new shops around the street and I have seen that GS25 sells New York Hot Dog, so I went inside to give it a try and to look for pizza as well. I took picture of the banner so I can show it to the sales clerk but it still took long time before she could understand that I want to order each kind. I have waited for my order but I was surprised to received the hot dogs without a wrapper just a piece of cartoon to hold them. The hot dogs comes with free can of Pepsi and when it was handed to me I let the sales clerk to put it on my cross bag as my hands are holding the hot dogs.
When I reached home I can’t open the door so I called for my husband and he was disappointed that I was not able to buy pepperoni pizza and he didn’t like the hot dog as well. So I went to GS25 where we usually buy snacks to look for pizza, and gladly I was able to find pizza for him.

Dogs have to be tamed and trained while they are still young so they are easy to handle in a given situation. To keep your young children and guests from harm, use a dog shock collar to discipline them. There are a lot of training collars in online pet stores and before placing your order, read some dog shock collar reviews.
When buying a dog shock collar, make sure you know what type is best for a specific training. A dog obedience collar is recommended when teaching them how to behave properly in a certain situation. A remote control is used when you want to correct the dog’s behavior by sending shock through the vibration from the collar.
Dogs can be annoying to your neighbors when they bark incessantly. Use a dog barking collar to stop your dog from barking your visitor. If you want your dog to stay put in a specific area of your backyard, dog containment is employed by burying an electric wire in the yard. The dog will receive the shock through the collar that is connected with the wire when it goes beyond the boundary of your yard.

I have been eating sweet these past few days like cookies, bread and baked goods so I often crave for salty food at night. What I do when craving starts I cooked ramen noodles, instead of boiling eggs separately I add the eggs in the noodles and it taste better and savory.
Korean Instant Ramen are usually known as Ramyeon noodles, and they do have some unique characteristics that set them apart from typical Ramen Noodles because they often contain more seasonings than ordinary instant noodles. They are flavorful and savory.

Shopping online is one of the more convenient thing to do and one of the things I have enjoyed the most when I have extra cash to spend. My shopping haul is not for myself, but for my family. I love sending presents to them and any products that I found sale online.
Recently, I shopped frequently so I can fill the “balikbayan box” I need to send home. It is for my family and gift for my relatives as we are leaving Korea soon. One of the items I bought online are Pantene shampoo, they are cheap for ₩590 per 90ml bottle. These are perfect as a homecoming gift to my relatives, right?
I have thought shampoo is not enough as a gift so I search for soaps that are on sale in Gmarket, I was lucky to find ON body soaps on sale (ON: Lovely Perfume and ON: Sweet Perfume) ₩6, 900 for 10 soaps so I bought 2 sets, making it 20 ON body soaps.
With the Lunar New Year coming there are plenty of items on sale in Gmarket and when I found a good deal for Closeup toothpaste, ₩2, 900 for 100mlx5 I bought five sets making it 25 pieces of 100ml Closeup toothpaste, also a perfect match for my gift set, isn’t it?
