After Two Weeks

It was been a long time since no update here. We just came home the other day from two weeks vacation and within that two weeks few stores are already closed in the shopping district, saw them the other night packing the clothes and other store paraphernalia. The store was just opened few months ago and now it is already closing well probably moving.

This only means that business in this city is not good. Anyway if there is bad news there’s a good one the tall building which is constructed near the Chinese restaurant is almost finished and it is already open for interested occupants to avail a room for lodging.

Just too bad I can’t take photo of it right now. My camera was accidentally dropped on our vacation and it wouldn’t work anymore I think something is broken, the lens probably.

Stewed Pork with Vegetables

I have not update this blog for weeks already because of being away for vacation. Anyway tomorrow is the start of juice fast diet just too bad I can’t take picture of the juices I have to drink because my camera was broken, it was accidentally dropped while on vacation. I will surely missed the normal food I ate while I am in normal diet the photo below is a pork I stewed with vegetables.

Shopping: Buying Water Filter Online

We ordered water filter last week and one week has passed it was not yet delivered. It should be delivered three days after we ordered it online, I have told my husband that something is wrong and the filter will not be delivered until he called the company but he won’t believed he just keep telling me to wait and it will be delivered in time.

The seller provide a tracking details that’s why I know something is wrong because the product was already here in our city but not yet delivered. Well today I have found that it was back to sender to that effect, not really the exact details but the city indicated in the tracking is the origin so when my husband new co-teacher called the company it turns out they cannot find our address and even the co-teacher gave the Korean address they still can’t find it on their computer which is too impossible because we received letters from post office as well as utility bills. The company says they will deliver the filter in school instead of delivering it in our house if not on Friday maybe Saturday, well hopefully someone was there to receive it or else no filter for our water pitcher.

Instant Meal and Cookies

Well last night my husband and I felt hungry and he asked me too buy instant meal so I went up to Family Mart but they run out if instant meal so I just bought the bag of chicken and went directly to GS25. They have a lot of so I am able to choose which one looks good and delicious, I also bought gimbap and some cookies as my husband asked me to buy.

The instant meal has a free drink again I took mocha chocolate drink instead of cola. We still have the 1.5 ml of cola in the fridge eh.

7 Eleven

I am not updating this blog lately, I was too busy these last few days. We are surprised this new convenient store the last time we passed by this street it is not yet around. I think before it was a room or just a vacant space, it was good to have another convenient store but it was just bad because GS25 is just few meters away. So there will be a tight competency between them, for sure GS25 will lose the customer around this area because before they go to GS25, they will buy here in 7 eleven which is nearer.

Fried Dumplings

I am going to boil the dumplings but when my husband saw me he requested if I can friend it because he is craving for fried dumplings.  So  I did, the dumplings are still wrapped with ice so when I dropped them in the pot the oil splattered everywhere, a lot of things to clean for me ah.

Eating out: fine dining or gastropub?

The concept of ‘fine dining’ feels as though it has been around for an eternity. For many, it conjures up images of artfully constructed plates of high-quality food, classy surroundings and waiters that hang on your every word.

The term ‘gastropub’, however, feels a fairly modern one – indeed it was only in 1991 that the term was first coined by the new owners of a pub in Clerkenwell, London. In venues that bear the description, you will more often than not find traditional, comfort food served in generous portions, made to a good standard using fresh, quality ingredients.

There are benefits to eating out in either manner, suiting as they do different needs and appetites. There is even an area of crossing-over between the two – there are gastropubs that bear Michelin stars, although there is only one that has earned the coveted award twice.

It is also true of both types of dining that the quality may vary, as can the value for money. A restaurant that aims for fine dining might put the food on the plate in a style that befits the name, but that’s not to say that it’s any good – or indeed, to your particular taste.

It’s the same with gastropubs. The term is becoming increasingly used by pubs to describe their cuisine, but with nearly every one of them serving some form of steak and Guinness pie, Thai curry and Sunday roast, it’s likely that the quality will vary.

In either case, review sites and word of mouth are invaluable assets in determining where to go. A good meal in the comfy, unpretentious setting of a pub is better than a bad one in an intimate, stylish venue that purports to serve fine cuisine, as well as being (usually) cheaper. However – as good as a meal in a gastropub might be – if you’re sharing the room with loud, boisterous locals then it might not be the best setting for an intimate date.
The best advice is to decide on how high-end you want your meal to be, ask around for others’ experiences, and make sure you have a charge card in your wallet to pick up the bill. With the American Express Platinum Card, you can earn membership points as you spend, which are redeemable against a variety of shopping, experiences and travel rewards.

Vegetable Chicken

This is what I have cooked today chicken in vegetable. I still have few pieces left over fresh chicken in the fridge as I don’t feel like eating adobo I decided to cook it in vegetable soup powder.

Cooking this viand is very easy all you need is to saute garlic and onions in a little amount of oil then add the chicken and vegetables. Add water and the soup powder, salt and black pepper to taste.

Pets as Stress Reliever

I love animals, I love pets but there are some people who are allergic of having pets inside their home. One of my friend love pets but she doesn’t like them inside their house,  the big responsibility of petting them scares her.  The idea of giving them bath, cleaning the waste doesn’t attract her though she believed that having pet is  a stress reliever.

Well I guess she really needs one especially she mention her life is stressful now a days.  Pets are good therapy that’s why most of them are used as therapy dog in  popular hospitals they are proven to help patients suffering from coma or depressions.

Kids and Pets

I have read online that having a dog at home is helpful for kids to keep away from infections, those kids living in pet-free environment is healthier than those who doesn’t, they only suffer colds, ear infections in minimal amount.

Well I guess that’s how it works I remember the story of our Sociology instructor about her grand daughter, she told us that her daughter don’t let her baby plays in the dust or mud and every time her grand daughter went dirty her mother will always cleaned and used alcohol so one time she told her daughter to let the baby play so the baby could adapt in the surroundings and get used with dirt because the more she cleaned the baby the more the baby will get infections so I guess this is the same when having a pet as what Dr. Elija Bergroth suggested, exposure to dogs may help to boost babies’ immune systems by bringing in dirt and allergens from outdoors.
