Today is the three years marked since I arrived here in Korea. I can still vividly remembers my first flight alone, nervous and excitement. My husband fetch me at the airport and the feeling of being reunited and being strange with the surrounding around me is glittery.
My first few days are are not that bad and not that good, I hate the smell of gim I barely eat gimbap. The gimbap that my husband bought for me while we are in the subway stays in the fridge until it was already too hard to eat and your guess is right as mine I have to throw it.
I didn’t even appreciate the taste of kimchi it is too salty and hot for me, same thing with their noodles I felt like I ate a whole bunch of chilli peppers so what I did those time is pour a lot of water in my cup and use a little amount of seasoning so I can eat without a problem. And there comes the instant ottogi meal I only eat few of them like the meat balls, barbecue chicken and etc., but the rest are wasted.
My husband buy a lot of food for me but most of them are wasted so week by week my food supplies declined and I only eat eggs and noodles, I lose weight and that’s for sure but when my husband’s contract in Seoul ended after few months and we moved on where we are now, everything changed.
I started to love kimchi, being addicted to gimbap, bibimbap and other Korean food. I appreciate the food and eat without hesitation I have been in love with the gim I can even eat gim alone. Oh well in short period of time I have adjusted on the food here, the place and everything and it is hard to believed it is already three years since I arrived here.

I didn’t buy a lot of food when we shopped for our weekly supplies because I am planning to cook and eat the old stocked before buying more. One of the old food I have is the fish cake or eomook in the freezer so I made a soup from it. For me it tasted good even though it doesn’t taste like the fish cake soup they have in the street.

This is my menu for today, I sauteed a pork with carrots and cabbage. It is simple but yummylicious because I used Ginisa Mix on it. I sauteed garlic and onion then add the pork and cook it until brown, add water, the carrots, cabbage, salt and ginisa mix and cook until tender.

This is what we bought on my husband’s birthday, Tiramisu Cake from Tous Les Jours. We usually buy cake in Paris Baguette but since I have a point card and buying cakes or baked goods in Tous Les Jours can help me gain points we are now buying from them.
And the good thing too the point card I have is also good to use in VIP’s Steakhouse one more reason to choose these steak house when Outback is not around.
Tiramisu is an Italian cake and dessert. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone cheese, and flavored with liquor and cocoa. The recipe has been adapted into many varieties of puddings, cakes and other desserts.

The other night as I felt so hungry and so lazy to cook something I went to GS25 and bought instant meal and when I am paying in the counter the sales clerk told me that there’s a free drink so I went up to the fridge to look for the drink featured in the meal but no matter how I tried I can’t find it so I return to the counter bringing nothing.
It turns out it is is the different fridge just where I get the meal but the sales clerk pointed the two big fridge to me, lol. Anyway the drink is also different from the drink shown in the meal coupon. Until now the drink is still in the fridge so I can’t tell what flavor is it but based on the color it looks like cherry.
